line-up for the national anthem
YEP...we were that close...even though our ticket said row 2 we were actually 4 rows behind the Phoenix bench...but still...WOW...
I thought this one was kinda cool showing the action even if it is kinda blurry...especially the head of the person right in front of me!!
I have a lot of shots of the Phoenix team...I don't love Phoenix...but it was REALLY cool to be so close to so many NBA players at one time!! And I decided that Grant Hill is my favorite Phoenix player (especially since Raja came back to Utah).
there he is again...#22...oh wait, I think I took this picture because it is a pretty good shot of "the new guy". that is my excuse anyway... :)
this is a shot from my seat on Thursday night, up to my season ticket seats...it's WAY up there... it isn't on the top row but it isn't too far from the top!!
Jazz huddle...I had to try to get at least one picture of that since I had a few of the Phoenix team...it is just too bad that we weren't sitting on that side...but I can't really complain, the ticket was free!!!
I had to try to get a couple of close up shots of this guy...he is one of my co-worker's favorite players...not!!!
this is really her favorite player...that is why I had to try and get a good shot of him.
I don't think he (Nash) played at all in the 2nd half, I wondered if he got hurt or if they really didn't want to play him too much because it is still preseason? or is he just getting too old to play as much??
I had to take this picture...even though he spells his name wrong, it is still a good name!!! he played pretty good too...the few minutes he actually got to be on the court.
after the game on the court...we had to wear our ticket all night...it got us into the dinner and snacks at half-time in the 100 club...where we had a good visit with the Laydens. I was waiting for Laura and trying to find a seat to wait for her and this lady said I could sit by her. She just started talking to me and she was really friendly. Then they started talking to Scott Layden on the half-time show and she said that's my son...I couldn't believe it was her...and then Frank came over and Laura showed up so the 4 of us had a grand old conversation...funny....
What an amazing night...I have to bask in it and remember it forever...cuz I don't know that it will ever happen again. The price on the ticket was $504...there is no way I will ever be paying that much for one ticket...it is more than I pay for one of my entire season tickets...
Oh and one other person of note that we saw when we were walking around the bottom level trying to find our seats...one of my all-time favorite Jazz men...Jeff Hornacek...why didn't I think to ask if I could take his picture?? oh well...the other 88 pictures and my memories will have to do!!!
