I really need to do some more posts...but life has seemed pretty mundane for the last couple of months...what I need to do is get out some of the older pictures and post about them. I haven't really taken too many pictures lately...so maybe next week sometime I will see what I can do!!!
I should at least say Merry Christmas today, and I hope that you have an awesome holiday time but remember the true meaning of the day. That Christ was born, and that he lived an awesome and amazing life and he was the perfect example for all of us to follow so that we can become more like him and His father and that we will someday be reunited in heaven with all of our family and friends.

Last Sunday I got to go on a nice little Sunday drive with my parents. I took some pretty good pictures if I do say so myself...I may not really know too much about lighting and really fancy cameras or anything...but with such beautiful scenery it isn't too hard to get some great shots!! We drove up a couple of different roads in the Richmond area and even made it all the way to the trailhead up High Creek (Crick as we say it back home...yep I am a country bumpkin and that is definitely how I say it!!!) The first couple of shots and the last couple are actually taken right from my parents yard. The first one is to the south and is Crow Mountain and down the road to the highway.
the view from the front of my parents house.
the view from the front of my parents house.
The next several shots are up High Creek. so the water would be High Crick...
I love the shots down the road with the trees growing on each side...kinda like you are going through a bridge...
the bridge at the Lions' property. That would be my mom walking over on the other side.
the moss on this tree trunk was pretty cool...I just had to take a couple of pictures of it!!
the trailhead sign...so does anybody want to go on a hike with me next year? We have talked about doing this hike but it hasn't happened yet...ok so the time several years ago when we tried it we went too early in the season and had to turn around because of the snow!
I tried to get mom to climb up on the rock so I could get her picture...but she wouldn't...
now the next several pictures are up the Cherry Creek Road. I got a great shot of Cherry Creek Peak with some fall colors lower and snow on the Peak...
Cherry Creek (Crick) Peak.
and then back home. The pictures are actually in reverse order, so the ones at the top of the post were taken at the end and these last couple were taken at the beginning of the drive. I know there are a ton of pictures...but they were all so pretty I didn't want to leave any out...it is too bad we couldn't have gone a couple of weeks ago the colors would probably have been more vibrant...but I wasn't up in Richmond a couple of weeks ago...so these will have to suffice. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!!
